The PPR reamer is applicable to exhaust pipes, drain pipes, and water pipes, and is used to clean residual pipes and solvent cement residues on PVC, CPVC, or ABS fittings. This tool can reduce labor time and material costs by allowing the reuse of fittings.
The kit includes six pieces: PPR75, PPR100, PPR150, PPR200, PPR300, and PPR400, corresponding to sizes 0.75 inch, 1 inch, 1.5 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, and 4 inch, respectively. The reamer fits into a standard 1/2 inch drill, with a 3/8" hex shaft size.
The carbide cutting insert on the reamer provides a cutting edge on each side, allowing the user to rotate before replacement to receive three bonus cutting edges. It is recommended to use a high torque, low RPM drill setting to reduce heat caused by friction and provide the cleanest ream. However, it is important to note that PPR Fitting Reamers are not recommended for use on pressurized systems.
